I have made art since I can remember, winning my first art prize aged 6. At 12 years old I transformed an old pigsty/shed into my first art studio, saved up to buy a throwing wheel and gathered wild clay from the local beach. I have made art since I can remember, winning my first art prize aged 6. At 12 years old I transformed an old pigsty/shed into my first art studio, saved up to buy a throwing wheel and gathered wild clay from the local beach. I chose to become an artist because it gave me freedom to explore myself and the world around me. Carving stone was my second love and I have created a variety of large pieces as well as private and public commissions which usually take between 1 to 2 years to complete. For inspiration and research I use a wide variety of media and techniques such as drawing, painting, video, sound, wax, silk, charcoal, and pigments. Working in a single medium can be restrictive. Creative exploration excites me!
